2019 Homestead Medium Riesling

Vineyards l Made from fruit harvested from the Jackson Estate Homestead vineyard, this wine is an expression of a single clone and single site. Intensive hands-on viticulture including short and fruit thinning, hand-picking, and sorting are incorporated to optimize fruit and wine quality.



Weather l Growing season 2019 was one to be remembered. Sunny, warm weather graced the vines and vineyard during all critical growth stages and carried on through to March. A small bout of rain in early March prevented this season from being all
but perfect weather wise. The resulting harvest was short and relatively condensed, resulting in lovely fruit with full flavour and maturity.



Harvest l Fruit for this wine was harvested on the 17th of April from the Homestead vineyard. Due to lower crop loads we were able to hand harvest the fruit at full maturity and with outstanding purity, concentration, and intensity.
