Yet another fantastic accolade for our Pinot Noir

Dear friends, I’m pleased to announce yet another fantastic accolade for our Pinot Noir, with the 2012 Vintage Widow being ranked the second best Pinot Noir in New Zealand, as judged by the Cuisine Magazine. Vintage 2014 to date!

Vintage 2014 initially had all the hallmarks of an early and short vintage. However with the amazingly settled autumnal weather with cool nights late Feb through into March, we have seen the Pinot Noir being picked about one week ahead of normal, the Chardonnay around the normal average and only one or two early Sauvignon Blanc picks. Both the Gum Emperor and Somerset Pinot Noir blocks have been outstanding this year with wonderful depth of flavour and pure aromatics.
